welcome to the new age of hunting
Artist KAWS will be working together with Cheap Jordans 2017 to release a collaboration for Spring 2017 that includes the Air Jordan 4. It looks like the KAWS x Jordan Brand collaboration is expected to continue as the KAWS Air Jordan 4 Black colorway is scheduled to release in 2018. Following the release of their first collaborative Air Jordan 4, Jordan Brand did design some Black pairs that were exclusive to Friends and Family. The KAWS x Air Jordan 4 features a full Cool Grey premium suede upper that has some texturing to it for a unique look. Other details include co-branded heel tabs, a nubuck/suede midsole, waxed laces, and an icy translucent glow-in-the-dark outsole with KAWS graphics.
Jordans 2017, The grey suede Kaws x Air Jordan 4 that hit retail this spring isn't the only version of the sneaker that exists. There's also this friends and family pair in black, worn by Jordan Brand VP of Design Dave Creech and spotted by High Snobiety. There are black pairs of Kaws x Air Jordan 4s in the wild already, but those are exclusive to Jordan Brand friends and family. It's unclear if the retail release that's supposedly coming next year will look the same, although the black/black colorway described in the tweet above suggests so. Then again, it's possible the rumored 2018 collaboration will use a different design approach—there's no indication that the model will look the same as the 2017 original. The sneaker appears to be the same as the retail one in every aspect except color, although it's possible there are differing details not visible in this shot.
New Jordans 2016, Brian Donnelly who goes by KAWS is a New York based artist. Over the years, he has participated in various collaborations which includes Nike. This will be the first time he partners up with Jordan Brand. The sole also exposes KAWS' popular graphics. Across the uppers we have the use of Grey suede which also extends to the midsole. Completing the Air Jordan 4 KAWS is a glow in the dark outsole. To refresh your memory, the collaboration uses a retro Air Jordan 4 silhouette decked out in premium grey suede and features a glow-in-the-dark outsole with KAWS' signature "X" logo found on the heel and lace tips. A special hangtag and packaging compliments the design while “KAWS” branding replaces the usual "AIR JORDAN" text.
